Shear Pins

The Yeomans Shear Pin is a simple, sacrificial safety component designed to protect Yeomans shanks and plow frames when encountering immovable obstructions such as large stumps or rocks.

Unlike many of our competitor’s shear pins which are machined, the Yeomans Shear Pin is inexpensive to purchase and simple to change in the field.

When a large obstruction is struck, the shear pin breaks, allowing the shank to swing back rather than transferring damaging loads into the plow frame. Replacement is quick and straightforward, allowing work to resume within minutes.
